MADDY HODGETTS

Maddy is an Ngiyampaa/Wangaaypuwan and Wiradjuri artist living in Nyngan NSW on Wangaaypuwan Country. Her family’s Ancestral country is centred around the Bunggan (Bogan) and Wambuul (Macquarie) rivers of Central Western NSW. Taught to paint by her Mother from the young age of 10, she has a deep passion for continuously learning her Culture and storytelling through Art. 

Creating all her artwork and designs on Country, Maddy aspires to translate traditional Ngiyampaa styles and practices through her work. Her paintings use lines and symbols to map Country while also sharing Dreaming stories passed down from her Family.
