MICHELLE POSSUM NUNGURRAYI Grandmother’s Country

This work depicts Gabriella and Michelle’s Granmother’s Country at Laramba, a story passed through their maternal line. U-shapes mark women, concentric circles show gathering places and dots and tracks map bush foods and ancestral paths. Taught by their father, Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, they continue to honour and preserve this Country and its stories.
