SANDON GIBBS O'NEILL - Nhunggabarra Artist

This artwork is inspired by what I see on the land and the natural cycles of the seasons. The colours used illustrate Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring and are a reflection of the changes each season brings and its impact on the landscape. The centre circle represents that everything - the land, the people, the water, the plants and animals - are connected and that everything we do has a flow on effect. The dotted circles depict that everything must be in perfect balance which can be achieved by a respect for the land. 

On Wiradjuri country in Orange, New South Wales we experience all 'Four Seasons' and their extremities - from the dry heat through summer to snowfall over winter. is it the uniqueness of this area and its colours through the year that are the main inspiration for this design.
