Kungkarangkalpa (Seven Sisters) is an important Aṉangu creation story connected to the Pleiades constellation. Janice depicts a salt lake near Attila (Mt Connor), a significant site within the story passed to her by senior artist and aunt Renita Stanley. As kapi (water) moves across the land after rain, the salt lake transforms with shifting colour and light, which Janice captures in her paintings.
