"The 'Ancestor' series is painted in two layers, the initial layer reflects the ancestors that come before us and the patterns that they make on our lives that reverberate long after they are gone. The second layer points to country and the seasons that envelope us. The painting is a reflection of my country and environment. Often reflecting the dry and wet seasons that the Northern Territory is known for."
