JASMINE COE Earth

Earth explores the importance of balance within the natural world and our relationship with the land. Drawing from the same earthy palette as Earth with Honeybees, the work strips the composition back to its essential forms, allowing colour, line and repetition to become the primary language of the painting.

Using straight lines and repeated forms, Jasmine draws upon traditional Wiradjuri linear expression to create a sense of structure, rhythm and interconnectedness. Each line exists in relationship with those around it, reflecting the delicate balance through which natural systems coexist and sustain one another. The work evokes the feeling and experience of Earth through rhythm, colour and repetition, creating a sense of groundedness, connection and continuity.

Through Earth, Jasmine reflects on the need to live in greater alignment with the natural world. The painting speaks to reciprocity, balance and care, recognising Country as a living presence in which all elements are interconnected and dependent upon one another.
