JASMINE COE Mother Sun

Mother Sun is a heartfelt tribute to the radiant power of the sun, the nurturing spirit of the feminine and Jasmine’s relationship with her mother. Raised by her mother, Jasmine draws a parallel between the ever-present nature of light and a mother’s enduring love – both constant, offering warmth, guidance and comfort.

Together with Father Moon, Mother Sun honours the sacred duality of parenthood. The relationship between the sun, moon and Earth becomes a reflection of mother, father and child, inviting us to place ourselves as the Earth within this cosmic balance. In doing so, the work explores the idea that we are not separate from Country but exist as part of it, our lives continually shaped by the relationships that surround, sustain and guide us.
