Michelle Possum Nungurrayi’s Seven Sisters Dreaming depicts one of the most significant ancestral narratives shared among many Aboriginal nations across Australia, each with its own variations of the story. It follows seven ancestral women pursued across land and sky, visible today in the night sky as the Pleiades constellation.

The daughter of renowned artist Clifford Possum Tjapaltjarri, she continues her family’s legacy by expressing ancestral knowledge, connection to Country, and the enduring power of story through her richly layered compositions.
